Technical Support

Give Us A Call

We understand when things go wrong, you need to speak to someone. Should you experience any technical difficulties, call us on 0l6l 286 8750 and ask for the ‘Helpdesk’.

You will be connected to a trained technical representative who will clarify the problem, identify the most relevant options for you to try and resolve the problem as fast and effectively as possible. If our suggestions don’t resolve the issue, then we can arrange for a field service engineer to attend site, investigate and rectify the problem.

We know your time is precious and delays in production can be costly. lf you ‘just need an Engineer’, let us know straight away and we will prioritise that visit for you.

We aim to be on site by the next working day wherever possible, and many times achieve same day assistance.

Drop Us An Email

If you just need some technical information, clarification of something an update or to book a non-urgent visit, please email our ‘helpdesk’ using help@mds.org.uk. Once again, a technically trained representative will respond as soon as possible to your enquiry.

Fax Us

Alternatively you can send us a fax for anything you need. However, wherever possible, we aim to reduce the impact on our environment by reducing the amount of paper we use. If you wish to fax any information to us, please call for our fax number.

Book a site survey of your metal detection systems, to confirm your equipment’s status and ability to comply with a particular code of practice.
Codes of practice regarding metal detectors can change year on year. This means older detection units can become non compliant over time.

We offer a system upgrade service, to make these units compliant to current codes of practice. If it is not possible to upgrade your machine, we can of course provide a quote for new equipment to ensure your metal detectors perform to the standard you require.

Several supermarket Codes of Practice require your staff to be trained in the setup, testing and maintenance of your metal detector systems. MDS provide a full range of bespoke, certified training packages which are designed to meet our customers’ and supermarkets’ codes of practice requirements.

These training programmes are both classroom and online based, supported with full training manuals and reference documentation. Training sessions are carried out at our customers’ sites, thereby minimising the disruption to your operation.

Have our trained engineers commission, validate and certify your metal detection system. New, re-installed or re-located equipment should always be checked for correct efficient operation. Supporting documentation is essential so we make sure you have it.
Do you just need advice? Our experienced engineers can discuss a wide range of metal detection issues with you from advice on new equipment to improving the effectiveness of existing equipment, or anything else you may need.
