We’re pleased to announce the appointment of our new Marketing Executive, Kathryn Vanes, to oversee the marketing, advertising and social media functions of MDS, amongst other team responsibilities.
Kathryn joins the MDS family having previously worked for a recruitment consultant and an engineering firm in different marketing roles. Her main responsibilities will involve the running of our marketing campaigns, including liaising with various trade magazines, exhibition organisers and trade bodies for advertising and editorial content.
Kathryn will also work alongside our external agency to manage our social media channels and website, as well as tracking the effectiveness of these activities. Kathryn will organise MDS’s attendance at sales exhibitions and attend them herself to represent MDS, both in the UK and overseas.
As part of her customer support role, she will work with our service department to help provide assistance to customers, helping when necessary with sales and admin duties. As MDS are CEIA’s UK representative, close liaison with their marketing and export team, plus occasional travel to CEIA’s headquarters in Arezzo, Italy will also be included in her role.
David Hale, Sales and Marketing Director, and Pete Higgins, Technical Sales Director at MDS, carried out a series of interviews with the many applicants who applied for the role. They found Kathryn to be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the world of social media and marketing. This, allied with her engaging manner and bubbly personality, made Kathryn stand out from the crowd.
We are very happy that Kathryn has joined the MDS team and look forward to her joining the team at MDS.
