Top Tips – How to test for contaminated conveyor belt

Metal Detector belts ideally need to be replaced annually, the belt itself acts as an inspection platform for the product and is itself effectively continually checked for metal as it passes through the metal detector.

It can often be very difficult to determine whether a conveyor belt is contaminated without using the check facility. By accessing the configuration menu and selecting the compatibility check function, the CEIA unit will analyse the conduction of the belt, any environmental electro-magnetic or stray RF interference and electrical supply noise and instability. This information can be invaluable and an extremely useful tool when investigating noise and possible instability issues due to external interferences.
