This year’s Foodex will see the launch of the latest addition to the CEIA range, the THS/RB-800 has been designed for seamless integration with any checkweigher system.
With a round belt conveyor which eliminates the risk of belt contamination and achieves maximum sensitivity, the skidplate and belt can be easily stripped down for cleaning and inspection without the need for tools.
Having a footprint of just 800mm, the metal detector takes up very little space and can be fitted directly before any checkweigher. Three belt widths of 200mm, 300mm and 400mm are available. A simple electrical interface allows the metal reject function to be carried out by the weigher.
The detector itself is the CEIA THS/SL21 slim-line range which has very high sensitivity to all magnetic and non-magnetic materials and even with products that can be problematic for other detection systems.
Pre-launch orders have already been taken by MDS for the system which has been very well received by the UK food industry.
A fully working unit will be on display at the MDS / CEIA stand and their technical sales team will be available for product demonstrations and to answer any questions visitors may have.
