When investing in metal detection technology any system that is purchased needs to meet certain criteria, not only to suit current production, but also future production. It may also need to meet the criteria of retailers audited by the BRC and various supermarkets, to provide a return on investment and potential growth into new markets.
MDS is a member of the BRC’s Partner Connection Programme, which ensures that all equipment provided, or validated by MDS meets the requirements of the British Retail Consortium.
The CEIA equipment also meets the highest standard currently required, by supermarkets such as M&S and Tesco.
As part of the THS21 Metal Detector series MDS offer the Multi Spectrum System. This unique technology is developed exclusively by CEIA to both optimise sensitivity to all metal contaminants, and to minimise product affect in a wide range of possible products.
Features of this technology include ultra-high sensitivity to all magnetic and non-magnetic metals, which includes 304 and 316 stainless steel, and automatic learning and tracking of product effect. It is also available as a slim line metal detector for applications in limited spaces, for example with inline Checkweigher systems
By recognising the different frequency response of conductive products and metals, this innovative technology cancels product affect and maintains high-performance levels for all types of metal contaminants, both magnetic and non-magnetic.
The auto learn function used by CEIA Multi-Spectrum Metal Detectors equates to the repetition of hundreds of conventional transits. It explores the whole spectrum of available frequency bands in order to determine the best-operating conditions resulting in unique detection performance.
To discover more about this range, or other metal detection systems MDS will be at the PPMA show later this month, on stand D14, or call the team on 0161 286 8755.
