Metal Detection for Bottling Lines

The THS/MBB Modular Conveyor Inspection system from Ceia is designed to automatically eliminate metal contaminants from vertically oriented products, such as bottles, used within the food, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries.

In addition to a high sensitivity to ferrous and non-ferrous metals including stainless steel, the system boasts a range of features that make it highly effective and simple to operate. These include integrated controls for line speed and rejection, a high immunity to environmental interference, automatic learning and tracking of the product effect, and a digitally adjustable belt speed. It also comes with an IP65 rating, which means it can withstand low and high direct water pressure washdowns.

The THS/MBB Modular Conveyor Inspection system comes fitted with a range of important and helpful features, including a “bin full” photocell and air pressure kit, buzzer and three-colour lamp (to signal alarm, fault and test request), an ejection confirmation sensor and a variable speed drive.

A range of optional features are also available to suit your specific requirements, for example adjustable product side guides and an electronic bin door interlock.

The system comes with four (4) standardised configurations to suit a range of requirements. These are:

  • 1600mm x 75mm belt width (in-line transfer)
  • 1600mm x 125mm belt width (in-line transfer)
  • 1800mm x 75mm belt width (side transfer)
  • 1800mm x 125mm belt width (side transfer)

The product aperture is available in widths of 200 or 250mm and heights of 125 or 175mm. Custom versions are available should these standard units not match your specific project requirements.
