When Marathons Aren’t Enough

Jennifer Joubert, MDS’s Sales Administration Manager, is a keen runner of 10Ks and 1/2 marathons but has recently decided these aren’t strenuous enough.

Also a keen cyclist, she has recently completed her first Triathlon.

Entering the South Manchester Triathlon over the “sprint distance” she finished the course in a highly creditable 1 hour 55 minutes.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the discipline, the “sprint” is a 400m swim, 24k bike ride and then a 6.5K run. Not what most of us would consider a sprintable distance.

She is now planning for her next event and hopes to knock several minutes off her new target PB, To warm up she will compete in the Wilmslow 1/2 marathon in March.
